Authentic as you’ll ever get!

PostDateIcon La CabanaAugust 30th, 2010

La Cabana Restaurant, as authentic as you’ll ever get! First let me tell you, the hospitality of Eduardo Torres is second to none. He greets you as if you are an old friend, someone who has come to dinner many times. In a big city like Toronto that matters.

Eduardo’s Sangria, is the best in the city, his guacamole untouchable. I keep telling him he should sell his homemade salsa, it is a taste sensation.

We have tried other Mexican restaurants but we always come back to La Cabana. The food is fresh, the tastes are explosive and the hospitality makes you feel at home. I would not hesitate to recommend La Cabana. Check it out.

The food was simply amazing!!

PostDateIcon La CabanaJune 26th, 2010

Tonight was my first time at La Cabana. The food was simply amazing. For the life of me I cannot remember the name of the dish I ordered, but it was basically stewing beef in a cilantro sauce. The meat practically melted in my mouth and the sauce was a spectacular. This was of course served with a generous helping of rice, refried beans and salad. Good service can be so hard to find sometimes, but look no further then here. The owner of La Cabana provides very personable and quick service and is obviously very proud of his business, and deservedly so.  I will definitely eat here again and will be recommending La Cabana to anyone looking for a great meal.  Thanks very much for the experience.

Michael

The food is consistently excellent!

PostDateIcon La CabanaMay 23rd, 2010

It has been about a year since my wife and I first tried La Cabana.
We have been been back several times and nearly always try something new. The food is consistently excellent! The sauces are particularly subtle and delicious. Eduardo always make us feel like honored guests in his home.

The food was absolutely incredible

PostDateIcon La CabanaMarch 29th, 2010

We stopped in last night to pick up some food for take-out. I wish we had had time to stay and eat in because we loved the atmosphere and Eduardo, you were a very gracious host. We’ll definitely be back. The food was absolutely incredible and although I really didn’t need that second Chimichanga, I couldn’t help myself. Oh and the hot sauce was excellent! Thank you so much. We are so happy to have found a place that serves the food we love at a very reasonable price and great quality. We’ll definitely be back.

“Sangria anyone?”

PostDateIcon La CabanaJune 29th, 2009

La Cabana has the best Sangria I have ever had in my entire life!! It is tasty, goes down smooth and is very refreshing, especially in the hot summer days we are now entering.  And it goes with anything on the menu…nachos, tacos, enchilladas, burritos…whatever your fancy. (Its good on its own too!!)

“No Taco Bell for me please…”

PostDateIcon La CabanaJune 29th, 2009

“A breath of fresh air”

PostDateIcon La CabanaJune 21st, 2009

Having first visited La Cabana shortly after it opened, and then many times since, the food and service have remained consistently excellent. The proprietor, Eduardo, also acts as host and is most accomodating. We are always welcomed with open arms and it is like eating at a friend’s home.

Best appetizer on the menu for a quick taste of Mexico is the guacamole and tortillas, alongside a cold Mexican cerveza – what a combination. Main courses are ample, authentic and filling. The hardest part is leaving room for fried ice cream at the end of a delicious meal.

Visit soon for a Taste of Mexico on the Danforth.
